Calypso DP industrial full colour inkjet press opens a new era for the corrugated packaging industry.

The Calypso DP printer has been developed to service the short run market. Whether you want to print a run of 50 or 5000, it makes little difference to the unit cost by using digital print technology.

The quick set up, low print cost and a competitively priced print machine, opens up new markets for corrugated packaging. You no longer have to use generic boxes. The fast food industry, shelf ready packaging and the need to print those odd 100 boxes for your special products, no longer present a printing problem.

Running at speeds of up to 1 metre per second, the single pass system developed by CALYPSO SYSTEMS gives a production rate of up to 3000 average sized corrugated sheets per hour.

Using state of the art digital inkjet technology, developed by our working partner GRAPHTECH AG of Switzerland, means that the Calypso DP machine does away with the need for expensive plates and films required by alternative printing technologies.

Special formulated ink developed by a major inkjet ink manufacturer ensures that cost per print is kept very low. The image produced is still to a high quality level for a single pass, high speed print.

Print runs can be electronically stacked to ensure minimal time loss between jobs. It is possible to sequentially print, in effect meaning that every print could be different, still at the same high speed.

The on board colour RIP ensures that full colour images are processed quickly and efficiently to ensure the highest level of print quality for corrugated packing.
